Overview
The /seo-* commands run in any Claude Code session. They read Google Search Console and DataForSEO through the dashboard MCP. The dashboard holds site configuration and action history; local seo/config.json holds only the site pointer and repository paths. Below, each command lists its output and persistence.
/seo-product-facts is the exception: it live-extracts a code-verified product fact-sheet and persists nothing.
Setup & sync
/seo-init — one-time setup
Registers the site's market, niche, and competitors on the dashboard, and writes the local site/repository pointer in seo/config.json.

Syncs every registered project's seo/config.json and actions.jsonl to the dashboard. Idempotent.

Analysis & opportunities
Derives your proven ranking ceiling from GSC, then recommends 3–5 next topics that expand from authority you already have — no domain-rating gate.

/seo-quick-wins — near-miss rankings
Finds quick-win opportunities (position 4–15 with high impressions), with country-split truth and SERP validation.

Discovers semantic neighbor keywords to expand topical authority around a seed keyword.

/seo-re-eval — republish candidates
Finds pages worth a Re-Evaluation Republish (position 8–25, KD < 30, and the cluster grew since publish).

/seo-cannibal — resolve cannibalization
Investigates overlapping rankings using inspected page roles and comparable GSC trends. Optional paid SERP checks clarify uncertain cases. Overlap alone does not justify a redirect.

Content
/seo-next-content — what to publish next
Recommends the next 3–5 content pieces with a full publish plan: slug, title, outline, and the internal-link plan in and out.

LLM visibility
/seo-llm-audit — possible AI query patterns
Finds long queries with low CTR in GSC. These are hypotheses, not confirmed AI usage or citations. Free by default; intent enrichment is optional.

/seo-llm-mentions — measure citations
Reports dataset brand mentions and source citations separately, with platform and market coverage. Optional live probes compare brands on the same disclosed prompt/model sample; optional listicle research finds missing third-party entries.
Output: Chat/report results; live probes save a JSON data companion. AI metrics are not stored as GSC clicks or impressions.
Links
/seo-link-gap — discover link prospects
Finds competitor backlink gaps, preserves unknown scores, inspects shortlisted placements, and hands candidates to /seo-link-vet. Requires Backlinks API access; does not send outreach.
Output: Chat or requested CSV. No prospect storage or action-ledger writes during discovery.
/seo-link-vet — vet a link offer
Vets a backlink, link-exchange, or guest-post offer: does the linking page have real traffic, does the site fit your niche, or is it a link farm? Returns a verdict and a reply strategy.

Technical checks
/seo-technical — sampled site or portfolio audit
Checks a bounded set of public pages for indexability, canonical, metadata, and link defects. Optional Lighthouse measures lab performance. Use portfolio to explicitly include all registered sites; the output reports sampling and missing coverage.
Output: Chat or requested report. Findings are not recorded as executed actions; the dashboard has no technical-findings table yet.
Verify & roll-up
/seo-verify — close the loop
Judges every due ledger action (win, neutral, or loss) against fresh GSC data and reports which action types actually work on this site.
Pushes: seo_sync_actions (fills in each entry's outcome)
/seo-portfolio — cross-project roll-up
Aggregates every registered project's action ledger into portfolio-wide win-rates, shared link-partner history, and a combined verify queue.
